Nacho Cerda
Nacho Cerda became interested in filmmaking at early age shooting Super 8 and video home movies. After graduating from journalism school in Barcelona, he took film courses at the prestigious Film School of the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. There, he shot his first 16 m/m short entitled The Awakening. In 1994, he and his partners founded WAKEN PRODS, a production company for which Cerda directed his second and controversial short film AFTERMATH. He has also produced two other shorts, Doctor Curry and Dias sin Luz. This was followed by his world-acclaimed short Genesis which earned a Goya Nomination for Best Short Film 98 (Spanish Academy Awards). The Abandoned is Nacho Cerda's debut feature film.
