Paul F. Thomkins

Paul F. Tompkins first collaborated with Tenacious D on their HBO specials, playing the role of Paul.

Paul is a regular contributor for VH1's Best Week Ever and can be seen in the upcoming Paul Thomas Anderson feature. His other feature credits include Will Ferrell's Anchorman.

For the past four years, Tompkins and his The Paul F. Tompkins Show, have performed on the last Monday of the month at the Los Angeles nightclub, Largo. A showcase not only for his talents as standup comic, singer and actor, the variety show brings together comedy acts, musicians and guest stars and has gathered a cult audience.

A native of Philadelphia, Tompkins moved to Hollywood in 1994 where he met Jay Johnston with whom he created the sketch show, The Skates. He was a writer and performed on HBO's Mr. Show with Bob and David receiving an Emmy nomination for writing. He also wrote and starred in Driven to Drink, his own one-man show on HBO.

Other television credits include appearances on The Daily Show (before Jon Stewart); Late Night with Conan O'Brien; the situation comedy DAG, Real Time with Bill Maher.
