As a professional bodybuilder, Schlierkamp was crowned Mr. Universe in the heavyweight division in 1993. He has also competed worldwide in such bodybuilding competitions as Mr. Olympia, the Ironman Pro Invitational, Arnold Classic, and Night of Champions.
