New York bred Robert Funaro is a gifted actor known for his recurring character, 'Eugene Pontecorvo' on the acclaimed HBO series The Sopranos. His Film credits include, INDOCUMENTADOS in which he created the role of 'Trabuco' directed by South American director Leonardo Ricagni, I BELIEVE IN AMERICA an independent feature film about the Puerto Rican pro-independence Machetero movement soon to be released. It is written and directed by Michael Narvaez in which Robert co-stars as Phil, CUTOUT a short film in which he stars as 'Michael' with legendary singer Al Martino that will hit the film festival circuit this year. He has also appeared in featured roles on Law & Order, Criminal Intent, and SVU.

Beyond TV and Film Robert is a company member of 'The Hinton Battle Theater Laboratory' (where he worked personally with Hinton Battle to find new American playwrights to produce their work) and is developing a new play titled 'Red Hook' written by Ovi Vargas slated to debut at the opening play of the companies most promising beginning in Spring 2006. Robert is also a member of Maureen Van Zandt's 'With Out Papers' company. In which he has acted in the productions of 'Golden Boy' and 'Burn This', as well as directed 'Etta Jenks' for the company.
