Robert Bagnell

Born and raised in East Northport, Long Island, Robert Bagnell was drawn to theater in junior high school. I came for the girls, I stayed for the applause, Bagnell jokes. Tongues are still wagging about his auspicious debut in the East Northport Junior High School production of South Pacific.

Robert pursued his love for the stage at NYU Circle in the Square Acting Studio. He earned his BFA and went on to perform in numerous off Broadway productions, such as The Glass Menagerie and The Orgy.

Upon graduating, he made his television debut in the long running daytime drama, As the World Turns. "For the next several years, I lived like Howard Hughes without the money". Bags, as he is affectionately known by friends and fans soon began appear on many commercials and in guest roles on numerous prime time series.

In addition to a burgeoning television career, Bagnell has appeared on the big screen with Mel Gibson in We Were Soldiers and in several other films, including starring roles in L'Arceny and Love Object.

"It's phenomenal to be working on HBO, the network that pioneers creative television. Now that The Comeback premiered, I no longer have to convince my family that I am 'big in Japan.'"

When he is not traveling, Robert resides in New York City where he enjoys parallel parking, listening to jazz and visiting museums.
