Katie Leung
Katie Liu Leung (1987) is a Scottish actress of Chinese descent who is playing the character of Cho Chang, Harry Potter's love interest, in the movie version of the J. K. Rowling novel, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, released in theaters November 18, 2005. Leung lives in Motherwell, a town near Glasgow. Her parents are separated and she currently resides with her father Peter Leung (a native from Hong Kong), two brothers (one is called Jonathon) and a younger sister. She was selected for the role of Cho Chang after beating out nearly 4,000 other girls in an open call audition in London for girls of East Asian appearance. Her distinct Scottish accent was one of the main deciding factors in securing her the part.
Relatively little is known about the actress at this point. Daniel Radcliffe, the actor playing Harry Potter, noted that he found Leung to be awesome and a really good actress.
