Stanley Clarke

Stanley Clarke has served as composer on more than 50 films and television shows since beginning his career in the mid-1980s. He was nominated in 1989 and 1991 for Emmys for Hull High and Knightwatch and won the BMI Film Music Award in 1992 for BOYZ IN THE HOOD.

Amongst the many feature films for which he's composed are: UNDERCOVER BROTHER, ROMEO MUST DIE, B.A.P.S., THE BEST MAN, SPRUNG, DANGEROUS GROUND, EDDIE, HIGHER LEARNING, WHAT'S LOVE GOT TO DO WITH IT.

An accomplished jazz musician in both the acoustic and electric bass, Clarke was in the 1970s a member of Chick Corea's band Return to Forever.
