Talented comedic actress Andrea Anders portrays Alex Garret, Joey's sweet and attractive neighbor in the new NBC comedy Joey.
Orginally from DeForest, Wisconsin (a suburb of Madison), Anders has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from The University of Wisconsin Stevens Point and a Master of Fine Arts from Rutgers University, Mason Gross School of the Arts.
She moved to New York City at the age of 22 after helping a friend move to New Jersey. She worked briefly in soap operas and decided to return to school after one year in the Big Apple.
After graduate school, she moved back to New York where she worked on Broadway in the popular plays The Graduate and Proof.
After landing a role in a Warner Bros. pilot, she decided to move to Los Angeles, where she currently resides.
