Born and raised in Whitehorse Yukon, Amy Sloan is one of the youngest actors to have graduated from the prestigious National Theatre School of Canada. Within a month of her graduating from NTS, Amy booked two national commercials and a lead role in the CBC MOW Heart: The Marilyn Bell Story. Not forgetting her roots in theatre, Amy garnered rave reviews playing the role of Mary Warren in the Centaur Theatre's production of The Crucible in Montreal.

In the past few years, Amy has worked with such notable actors such as Alan Alda, Malcolm MacDowell, Kyle MacLachlan, Paul Walker, Bridget Fonda, Brad Garrett, Penelope Cruz, Halle Berry, to name but a few.

After her stint away from her hometown of Whitehorse, Amy was offered the lead role of Catherine in the Tony Award winning Broadway play Proof. Immediately after that, Amy headed back to Montreal to shoot the FOX feature The Day After Tomorrow with Jake Gyllenhaal, Dennis Quaid and directed by Roland Emmerich (The Patriot, Independence Day), followed by Head in the Clouds opposite Charlize Theron and Stuart Townsend as well as Gothika opposite Halle Berry and Penelope Cruz.

After a North American search, Martin Scorsese cast Amy in the Academy Award winning film The Aviator. Some of Amy's recent television credits include Without A Trace, Cold Case, Jack & Bobby, Stargate SG-1 and N.C.I.S.
