I really like this guy (Tue Aug 22, 2006 8:36pm ET)report post
by Dan Benamor
Ehren Kruger is one of my favorite writers working right now. I really enjoy his plots (particularly Skeleton Key) even when they get borderline out of hand (i.e. Reindeer Games, which I still really liked). I've seen just about all of his movies, and the only criticism I would ever have for him is that I don't find myself caring a whole lot about his characters. That really is my only criticism of his work. I really like him.

Looking back over his filmography, I actually would like to point out that in the Ring I really cared about some of the characters.

Arlington Road - WOW! (Tue Jun 27, 2006 11:40pm ET)report post
by Pat Pedigo
Arlington Road continues to be one of my all time favorite thrillers. Jeff Bridges, Tim Robbins and Joan Cusack are at their best in this film. Shades of Ruby Ridge and the Oklahoma bombing are evident in this film, and even though it was written pre-9/11, it's every bit as current as if it had been written last week. Arlington Road still manages to keep me on the edge of my seat, even after having viewed it several times.
