Wolfgang Herold founded the internationally acclaimed post production facility Herold & Besser Studios in Frankfurt/Germany in 1988. He began working as a film producer in 1996. During a brief hiatus in the late '90s, Herold worked in Spain for five years. His return to the film business was in 2001 as executive producer of Blackwoods. One year later, he served as executive producer for Heart of America. Herold was also a producer of Uwe Boll's The House of the Dead (2003).
Presently, Herold served as executive producer of Bloodrayne (starring Sir Ben Kingsley, Kristanna Loken, Michelle Rodriguez, Matt Davis and Michael Madsen), which shot in Romania.
