| by Dean On the Mark Canton page, his background includes having graduated from UCLA, but on the American University website he is featured as a graduate of their School of Public Affairs, just wanted to check as a general inquiry. Comment on this... |

| by Ric Smith I really think that Mark Canton should take a second look at supporting Alicia Silverstone in any future projects. I can't find any good way to rationalize her support of the Animal Rights Movement; if she knows what the ARs are, then she is a subversive who supports the use of terrorism to drive a political agenda, and if she doesn't realize what the Animal Rights Movement is, she's guilty of not exercising due diligence in investitating the goals of PeTA and she really isn't qualified to stand in a public forum and shout "Down with breeders!" She may not want to have pets in her life, but the majority of Americans do, the majority of pet animals in the US are pleased with their lot in life, etc. etc. If Ms Silverstone doesn't see it that way, she doesn't have to own a pet of any description or origin. But she has no right to try and force the Utilitarian, Utopian, Athiest, Eugenic Philosophy of Peter Singer/Ingrid Newkirk and Wayne Pacelle on the rest of us. Think about it - do a bit of research and find out what PeTA, the Animal Rights Movement, Humane Society of the US are all about. If you support them, there are a great many people in the US who will find it difficult to support any of your projects. R. Smith Comment on this... |
