In 2004, Robinson made his feature film debut starring as the young Bill Cosby in the comedy Fat Albert. He also had a recurring role on the critically acclaimed television drama American Dreams, in which he played Nathan, a young man who becomes empowered at the beginning of the civil rights movement. On the music front, his songs have been heard on the soundtracks of the films Fat Albert and Blade Trinity.
Born in Kentucky, Robinson discovered a love of the arts at a young age. He went to high school in Augusta, Georgia, where his singing put him center stage, and he was signed to a recording contract while attending the University of Georgia. Robinson and his two singing partners were picked up by Motown Records and went on to perform with several top artists.
Robinson later decided to move out to Los Angeles to further his singing career and try his hand at his other love, acting. His very first audition landed him the role of the Green Power Ranger on one of television's highest-rated children's series, Power Rangers. On the heels of Power Rangers came a starring role in the NBC television movie The Princess & the Marine, and the lead in the UPN pilot Save the Last Dance. In addition, Robinson had a recurring role on the UPN sitcom Half and Half, and guest starred on multiple episodes of the top-rated drama ER. He has also appeared in guest roles on such series as Monk and NYPD Blue, and co-starred on the VH1 original movie 30 Days Until I'm Famous.
