I love Barbara as an actress and think she's BRILL - but when I read her book All of Me - which I loved and was compelled by - I felt sorry for her jilted lover Sid James - because she really hurt him finishing with him. I love Babs and Sid - they're my favourites in the Carry On team. My heart went out to Babs as her parents divorced and her marriage to Ronnie Knight crumbled - but reading the chapter when she told lovelorn Sid that she didn't want to live with him almost broke my heart as much as it did his - reading the bit when Sid cried as she told him she was leaving was a desperately moving bit. Although I love Babs, I thought she was cruel in that. He loved her and she cruelly jilted him - leaving poor Sid completely gutted. Comment on this... | ||||
