by Shelworth My father taught me to read with the original Tazan books, and I think I have seen every Tarzan movie made at least 3-4 times, so with that being said please, if you make a Tarzan movie, do what none of the others have done; READ THE BOOKS! If you can capture what the books hold it will be a billion dollar franchise. Comment on this...

by ernest hemple When I was 12, I started writing songs. I met Jane Morgan at Arder Shore. She listened to my songs. I really didn't have much of a voice. She invited many of the students to her home in North Carrolina and the year that I was suppose to go I heard the students wer out of control. I deeply regret their actions and want her to know that she is a very wonderful person. Thanks for the experience. Go to www.hemple.net/ernie click on the song Love You. Jane this song is for you. A lifetime admirer. Ernie Hemple Father of 10 Comment on this...

by Patrick Hedemark Hello Friend, I would appreciate it if I could contact Mr Weintraub. I am a 53 year old father of 4 sons and twin daughters. We are an avid movie going family and discuss and "dissect" film a great deal amongst our family and friends. In short - we are a great cross section of the movie going public. I myself can predict a films potential "gross" domestic and international - within a few million - just by watching the trailer or hearing the basic plot and being provided the name of the director, the producer and the principal actors. I heard that Mr Weintraub is planning to produce a new version of Tarzan - a "classic" if there is one. The classics could and should be mined. Put me in touch with him. I am sure I could offer him some keen insight and perhaps work with him on a few projects. Tarzan for example is a story that held young boys captivated for decades - in its original form. It has been senitmentalized ad nause....but the closest character to Tarzan portrayed on film was Peter Jackson's version of "Kong" last year. In the essentials Kong is the beast that Tarzan was in ERB book! That needs to be put on screen. Weintraub would do well to read "Might makes Right" by Redbeard(a nome de'plume no doubt!) The essence of that author's rendition of the "natural man" lies at the heart of Egdar Rice Burroughs vision of "Tarzan". In Bourroughs version Tarzan ascends to the pinnacle of the clan - by slaughtering Kerchak the vicious leader of the clan of apes that raised this "resented white ape!" When I read this passage as a young 12 year old boy - I ran to my father and re-read it - with great enthusiasm! I read it to friends. I loved it! The battles were nasty - not even skillful. Just brute strength and the "will to kill" without any sense of remorse; unfettered by human emotion or notions of right and wrong. Similarly his "taking" Jane Parker - a strong, capable and willful woman - but "woman" indeed and NO MATCH for the human/beast. She is conquered in every way. You put THIS ON THE SCREEN you will create THE NEW CLASSIC .... and make a fortune!! Put us in touch please. Patrick PS By the way..... not a single actor can be known. This is essential. Not one character can be associated with any other story. Tarzan MUST be unknown. This will and MUST be Love at First site for the audience. Think back to Catherine Zeta Jones stepping off the boat in The Mask of Zorro! No one in the US ever saw this woman before! She knocked every male between the ages of 12 and 100 on our ass!!! The entire film has to be the cinematic equivalent of SHOCK AND AWE!!! Tarzan MUST fight at a minimum 5 MAJOR battles or confrontations - with each one successively more life threatening. He needs also to fight "nature" - going over a massive water fall in his efforts to secure his "booty" - the luscious WOMAN should be one. You get the point. Comment on this...
