by Bronik Romanowsky Tapio was a friend of the family and once visited us at my mother and father's home in Tarzana, California. Tarzana was named for the Tarzan character because Edgar Rice Boroughs had a ranch there. This is ironic in that Tapio was once considered for the Tarzan movie role. Another irony is that my father gave Tapio a gift of a fine archery bow that was in the house. My father did not realize that Tapio was a world champion archer. My mother Ritva and I were both born in Finland and it was common for Finns to look us up. Lasse Viren once borrowed our motorhome to camp in Death Valley. The Finnish idea of hell was a cold place.
My understanding is that Tapio slipped and hit his head while walking around a swimming pool. This was how he passed away from us.

| by Leena This is interesting. Bronik is my brother & he passed away July 23, 2005. He was writing interesting things about our family history with such clarity even though he was terminally ill. This was nice to find today. My brother was a very special brother.
