Emily McLaughlin
Emily McLaughlin (1 December 1930 - 26 April 1991) was an American soap opera actress. She was born in White Plains, New York.
She starred on the soap opera General Hospital as Jessie Brewer, R.N. from 1963 to 1991. She played second fiddle to John Beradino's character, Steve Hardy. While a slight air of sexual tension was implied between the two characters, nothing came of it, and they were good friends until Miss McLaughlin's death.
Shortly after Miss McLaughlin's passing, Jessie's death was written into the show.
