Elena Anaya

Spanish-born Elena Anaya achieved international stardom with her compelling performance in the complex worldwide hit Sex and Lucia, for which she received the Best Supporting Actress award from Union de Actores (the Spanish SAG) and a Goya nomination (the Spanish Oscar), also for Best Supporting Actress.

Anaya made her feature film debut in Alfonso Ungría's 1996 feature África and hasn't stopped working since. Her additional feature film credits include Familia; Grandes ocasiones; Finisterre, donde termina el mundo; Lágrimas negras (Black Tears); Las huellas borradas; El Árbol del penitente; and El Invierno de las anjanas. More recently, she was seen in La Habitación azul, No News from God and Pedro Almodóvar's Oscar-winning Talk to Her. She will soon be seen starring opposite Gary Oldman, Robert Carlyle and Terence Stamp in Dead Fish.

Additionally, Anaya has appeared onstage in the plays A Bocados and Una Luz que ya no esta.
