Mitsou

Mitsou, one of Quebec's most flamboyant and versatile artists, is a successful author, singer, actress and businesswoman. THE BARBARIAN INVASIONS marks Mitsou's fourth appearance on film. She previously portrayed a naughty Little Red Riding Hood in Denise Filiatrault's Alice's Odyssey and starred in Richard C lupka's Coyotte and Danielle J. Suissa's Prince Lazure.

As a child, Mitsou dreamed of following in the footsteps of her father and illustrious grandfather, Gratient Gelinas by becoming an actress. She appeared in her first television advertisement at the age of five and at nine appeared opposite her father, Alain Gelinas, in the soap opera Terre Humaine. She broke into the pop music world with her successful song Bye Bye Mon Cowboy when she was only 17 years old. Her appearance in a music video censored by some television networks only increased her popularity.

Since then, Mitsou has hosted a number of television shows in Canada and recorded nine albums. She also composed the song Le Toucher for The Bone Collector soundtrack. She has founded numerous companies, including Dazmo Musique. Currently, she is also publisher of the magazine Clin d'oeil and co-hosts the morning radio show CTencore drole.
