Biography #2 (for Ned Kelly)

Kerry was born in Ireland in Co. Tipperary, and grew up in the small town of Thurles. She then went on to study at the Dublin Theatre Arts School . In her final year of schooling she auditioned for Angela's Ashes for director, Alan Parker. It was an open audition and anyone could attend. After three auditions Kerry was given the part.

Her next two feature films were as Marietta Flynn in Rat directed by Steve Barron and Eileen in How Harry Became A Tree directed by Goran Paskaljevic.

When she was 19 years old she was offered the role of Ophelia in Hamlet for the Royal Shakespeare Company, directed by Steven Pimlott, the youngest actress ever to play that role for the RSC. This took her to London where she has remained ever since.

Other Theatre work includes; The Lieutenant of Innishmore also for the Royal Shakespeare Company, directed by Wilson Milam and The Lonesome West for the Everyman Theatre in Liverpool, directed by Paddy Kineen.

Television credits include her role as Mairead Reilly in the BBC Production of Ballykissangel.
