A critically-acclaimed filmmaker for over four decades, the award winning writer and director is best known to US audiences from his widely acclaimed film Cyrano de Bergerac with Gerard Depardieu. The film received many accolades throughout the world, including five Oscar nominations and one win for Best Costume Design, and also took home 10 Cesar Awards, including Best Film, Best Director and Best Actor.
