Gina Matthews

Since opening her production company, Roundtable Entertainment, Matthews continues to combine her producing talents with an entrepreneurial spirit to create unique and high profile projects for film and television. Among Matthews' box office successes are Paramount's What Women Want. Starring Mel Gibson and Helen Hunt, the film grossed $382 million worldwide, making it the most successful romantic comedy of all time.

Prior to that, Matthews produced the Columbia Pictures hit Urban Legend and its sequel Urban Legend 2: Final Cut.

On the television side, Matthews co-created and executive produced the WB series Popular. She also served as executive producer on the UPN sci-fi drama Jake 2.0 and the SCI-FI Channel's hit series The Chronicle. Matthews wrote and is currently executive producing a one-hour pilot entitled The Mountain for Warner Bros. Television and The WB Network.

Roundtable has also ventured into long-form cable television. Summer's End starring James Earl Jones received two Emmy Awards. Matthews took home an Emmy for Best Picture/Children's Special, while James Earl Jones won for Best Actor/Children's Special. The Wishing Tree, starring Emmy Award winner Alfre Woodard and Blair Underwood, also received three Emmy nominations.
