Sarah Green

Sarah most recently produced Frida, which was nominated for six Academy Awards (won two,) five BAFTAs (won one,) two Golden Globes (won one), all including Best Actress. Salma Hayek was also nominated for Best Actress by the Chicago Film Critics Association, the Golden Satellite Awards, The Imagen Foundation and the Screen Actors Guild. Alfred Molina was nominated for five supporting actor awards including by the Screen Actors Guild. Director Julie Taymor won the Mimmo Rotella Foundation Award and was nominated for the Golden Lion at Venice.

Green produced Girlfight and State and Main, both released in 2002. Girlfight shared the Grand Jury Prize and won Best Director at Sundance, as well as Best Picture and Best Actress at the Deauville Film Festival, the Prix de la Jeunesse at Cannes and the Open Palm at the IFP Gotham Awards. In addition to the above, Michelle Rodriguez was honored with best actress and/or breakthrough performance by The National Board of Review, The Independent Spirit Awards, The Las Vegas Film Critics Society and the Online Film Critics Society. Green produced Girlfight with Maggie Renzi and Martha Griffin, launching first time writer/director Karyn Kusama who, in addition to the above, was honored by the Independent Spirit Awards, The Flanders International Film Festival, The Stolkholm Film Festival, The Valladolid International Film Festival, and The Imagen Foundation. State and Main won cast awards from The Casting Society of America, The National Board of Review, The Florida Film Critics Circle, and the Online Film Critics Society, four screenplay awards for writer/director David Mamet, and best picture at the Fort Lauderdale Film Festival.

Previously Sarah produced David Mamet's The Winslow Boy, which won acting awards for Jeremy Northam from The Edinburgh International Film Festival, The Evening Standard British Film Awards, and The London Film Critics Circle. Green co-produced The Spanish Prisoner, a contemporary thriller written and directed by David Mamet, which was nominated for an Independent Spirit award for Best Screenplay. She also co-produced the film version of American Buffalo, based on the play by David Mamet, directed by Michael Corrente. Green produced Oleanna with Patricia Wolff, also written and directed by David Mamet, which was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for William H. Macy.

Sarah Green produced three pictures for writer/director John Sayles, all with Maggie Renzi. The Secret of Roan Inish was one of the top ten independent releases of 1995, and was nominated for 3 Independent Spirit Awards: Best Feature, Best Director, and Best Screenplay. Passion Fish was nominated for two Academy Awards, Best Original Screenplay and Best Actress, as well as two Golden Globes and two Independent Spirit Awards (winning one), all for acting. City of Hope won the Grand Prix at the Tokyo Film Festival and the Critic's Award at Edinburgh, as well as the Independent Spirit Award for David Strathairn. Green produced the Emmy Award-winning American Playhouse production of Andre's Mother, written by Terrence McNally, which was named Best Television Movie of 1990 by the National Board of Review.
