Cheryl Edwards
Cheryl Edwards is a seasoned screenwriter who hasn't stopped since she submitted her first feature script, Swap Meet, which was optioned not once, but twice. Against the Ropes was a natural progression from her first major feature, Save the Last Dance, where Edwards displayed her unique writing versatility by seamlessly nailing the voice of a black young man and a middle-class teenage ballerina. She co-wrote that screenplay with. Duane Adler. Edwards is currently finishing up the first draft of the romantic/comedy fantasy Thick-N-Thin for Paramount Pictures, to be produced by Walter Latham (Kings of Comedy).
