Kevin Schmidt

Kevin G. Schmidt is a talented young actor who is comfortable in both dramatic and comedic roles. A seasoned actor at fifteen, Schmidt has been performing since he was 10 years old.

Director Shawn Levy cast Schmidt as Henry Baker, one of Steve Martin's twelve children in the December 2003 feature Cheaper by the Dozen, the remake of the 1950's original. The film also stars Bonnie Hunt, Ashton Kutcher and Hilary Duff.

Additional feature film credits include Mission without Permission from 20th Century Fox due to be released in 2004 and directed by Bart Freundlich.

Schmidt portrayed the Police Chief's grandson in Steven Spielberg's Minority Report, starred in the thriller Mind Lies and provided ADR for the Warner Bros adventure comedy Kangaroo Jack.

On the small screen, Schmidt has appeared in diverse roles on situation comedies and one hour dramas including: The Guardian, The Mullets, JAG, The Pitts, The District, The Division, King of Queens, Mission Vacation, Providence, Judging Amy, Steve Martin's Downer Channel, Curb Your Enthusiasm on HBO and the new CBS series Navy NCIS. His work in Fox's light-hearted comedy Grounded for Life earned him a 2002 Young Artist Award Nomination for Best Performance in a TV Comedy Series - Guest Starring Young Actor. He also starred in the Beyond the Sky episode of Steven Spielberg's sweeping sci-fi adventure, Emmy-award winning mini-series, Taken, on the SciFi Channel.

Schmidt has appeared in many national commercials for major advertising agencies and did a Public Service Announcement for an Anti-Smoking Campaign.
