Born and raised in New Jersey, Penn trained extensively in theatre all over the New York metropolitan area. After graduating from high school, he moved to Los Angeles to continue his studies at the University of California. After his supporting role in HBO Films' Emmy-Award winning comedy Express: Aisle to Glory (1999), Penn went on to work on episodes of Spin City, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Sabrina, the Teenage Witch and The Steve Harvey Show. He was also a series regular on the ABC/Touchstone pilot Brookfield, and guest-starred on NYPD Blue, The Agency, Angel and That's Life. He also appeared on the East/West Players Stage in Los Angeles for the debut of the original play, Queen of the Remote Control.
Penn will next be seen in a co-starring role in the Disney feature film, A Lot Like Love, opposite Ashton Kutcher and Amanda Peet, as well as New Line Cinema's Son of the Mask with friend and co-star of Malibu's Most Wanted, Jamie Kennedy.
Penn attended UCLA and currently resides in Los Angeles.
