Biography #2 (for What I Like About You)

McMillian was born and raised in Olatha, Kansas. A class clown growing up, it wasn't until he took an acting class in the fifth grade and discovered that he could still be the center of attention, that he began to consider being an actor. His mind was made up when he was mesmerized by a production of his sister's high school repertory group.

During his senior year of high school, McMillian relocated to Michigan to attend Interlochen Arts Academy, one of the country's premier schools for young musicians, dancers, actors, visual artists and writers. While there, McMillian began his classical training in theatre and was introduced to the work of such playwrights as Shakespeare, Chekhov and Ibsen.

Following Interlochen, McMillian attended Carnegie-Mellon School of Drama. At Carnegie, he performed in Keith Bunin's stage production of The Credeaux Canvas at the City Theatre in Pittsburgh, in which he had a 15-minute nude scene. It was at a Carnegie showcase that he was introduced to agents and decided to make the move to Los Angeles. Within a month, he had one line on Firefly and soon after landed guest appearances on 8 Simple Rules and The WB's What I Like About You.

When not working, McMillian enjoys spending time with his family and his 4-year old niece Stella. He enjoys drawing and considers authors John Irving and Michael Chabon among his favorites, as well as comic book creators Brian Michael Bendis and Alan Moore.
