| by Blanca Travis may well be the sort of actor directors could love! He can take direction. He works hard. He prefers to get along with people instead of playing the "diva". What's not to love? Have your people call his people... Comment on this... |

| by Felicity I am one ofthe few that never heard of Travis as a model. I saw the ads for Tarzan (2003) and looked it up online, finding out who the key players for the show were. Travis would have the arduous job of playing the mono-syllabic Tarzan that was "rescued" from the Congolese Jungle" and brought back to "civilization" In New York City, by his uncle, who kept him captive for months, performing tests on him, not allowing him to roam free. He breaks free once, but is recaptured, but one he meets "Jane", the cop, he has more reason to be free. I think that Travis did an awesome job at playing Tarzan. He said he studied with the same coaches who worked on Planet of the Apes etc. He had to learn how an ape moved and reacted to things. He wasn't given many lines, but his physicality quickly overcame that fact. There are a couple of times when his Australian accent pressed through, when he had to play angry, but it didn't ruin his character, it merely added a dimension to it. The show only lasted 8 episodes, because the WB wasn't pleased with the viewership, hoping to reach a younger audience. The show had it's problems, the story lines were a bit iffy and there was much room for improvement, but it's hard to do that when it's cancelled before you can work on it! Comment on this... |
