Biography #2 (for House of the Dead)

Uwe Boll started his film career when he was still a child, producing a number of short films on Super 8 and video. Later he studied film directing in Munich and Vienna, writing his first screenplay (The Trip) in 1987. In 1991 he wrote, directed and produced German Fried Movie, a homage to John Landis' classic Kentucky Fried Movie. He then went on to write/produce/direct Sanctimony starring Casper van Dien and Michael Pare; produce/direct Blackwoods starring Patrick Muldoon; and direct Homeroom starring Jurgen Prochnow, Maria Conchita Alonso and Clint Howard. House of the Dead is his ninth film as director. He is currently shooting Alone In The Dark, based on the popular video game series from Atari, which will be released by Artisan Entertainment next year.
