Breaking up is hard to do, especially for Jay Harrington on NBC's new Must See TV comedy Coupling, as the actor portrays Steve, a man whose desperate attempts to end his current relationship are continuously thwarted by the sexual innuendos of his girlfriend (Lindsay Price).

Born and raised in Massachusetts, Harrington studied theater at Syracuse University before he began acting professionally on stage and screen.

Harrington recently appeared in a recurring role on the cable police drama The Division. His other television credits include guest-starring roles on A.U.S.A., The Shield and Time of Your Life. Along with his wide-range of television roles, Harrington has also appeared in several feature films such as Whatever It Takes and Anywhere But Here, as well as the independent features, Catalina Trust and A Little Inside. He has performed on stage starring as Jack in Boy's Life, and appeared in the off-Broadway productions Barefoot in the Park and Tony and Tina's Wedding.

Harrington currently resides in Los Angeles and is an avid sports fan who plays in the NBA Entertainment League and dons the skates for a local amateur hockey team.
