I am wishing to hear from my OWU classmate Ron Liebman. I'm with Peggy above in wanting Ron to know that he is our very favorite "comedic actor" of all time and that he deserves an honorary Academy Award someday soon. OR to be given a role wherein his talents and insight as an actor are given a chance to prove what he can do for American theatre while he is still able to do so.He is only 72 years old, right?

Hello Ron! JO Scotford just wondering how you are. We watch our copy of "Hot Rock" in order to have a visit with you now and then. Why are you not working so that we (Dick Rice, my husband and I) can see you more. YOU are our "very most favorite comedic" (sp) ACTOR. It is time that you be HONORED in as many ways as possible. I remember when you took me and a few other gals(remember Judy Gretz, my best friend?)from the OWU Glee Club on a tour of YOUR NEW YORK WORLD. It was one of the greatest experiences of my lifeSmile We went up on stage and talked to your friend (......?) who was the lead in "The Diary of Anne Frank". Her father was also your teacher. Sorry their great names have simply slipped for a minute. (Sr. moment hereSmile

I have been doing some theatre work here on Martha's Vineyard with Kaf Warman in Commedia D'elle ARTE, also her Clowns program. I became her favorite clown of all time: Flora Bunda! She teaches theatre at Carneigie Mellon. So I am close to her as my friend and I am working on the LOGO for the local community theater ITW (Island Theatre Workshop). So you see you have made a life long impression on me and my family. I am still painting too and writing non-stop. I am working on a book that I am seeing as a film someday.

Our son is Doyle Rice, the Editor of the WEATHER for USA TODAY (both paper and web site) His articles on Global Warming are often on the front page.

Please come to the island and I will give you a van tour if you haven't already been here. Consider that you have this tour...I will meet you at the ferry and the tour would take about 3.5 hours...maybe a cup of coffee or lunch at the Black Dog!? OK?
We have 2 homes here: a Gingerbread Cottage in the Campgrounds and also a bigger house up island with some wooded land which we have often rented out but not this year.. the cottage is being remodelled. It's a long story.

Kindest memories always, Jody(Scotford) Rice. Have you attended any of the OWU Reunions? I hope that you are well and happy out there in California, right?

Kaz was GREAT (Sat Mar 1, 2008 11:28am ET)report post

I remember an episode of Kaz when the policeman who put Kaz in prison in the past was threatening him - in any other TV show the lead character would say some wisecrack and not be intimidated at all. But, this time I could see the fear go across Ron Liebman's face. It was a very real moment and for television at that time, extrodinary. (He was great in Norma Rae too - so Bobby from 2006 can go soak his head.)

tiresome ethnic type. Too loud, too pushy, too New Yawk. Don't see him in many movies these days and that's a good thing. Saw him in the Hot Rock on AMC over lunch and he had a persona only a mother could love. Yechh!
