The Moroccan-born Amidou is known to English-language audiences for his roles in John Frankenheimer's Ronin, William Friedkin's Rules of Engagement, and Tony Scott's Spy Game. He also appeared in Gilles MacKinnon's Hideous Kinky.
Amidou's other credits include Jose Dayan's Hot Chocolate, in which he co-starred with Bo Derek and Robert Hays; Claude LeLouch's La Belle Histoire and Diane Kurys' Apres L'Amour.
