Aiden Gillen
Gillen's credits include lead roles in the award winning BBC film Safe, two episodes of the original Queer as Folk (receiving a BAFTA nomination for best actor), Terry George's debut film Some Mother's Son, the motion picture and theater productions of Jez Butterworth's Mojo(1999), the film Shanghai Knights with Jackie Chan (2004), The Final Curtain with Peter O'Toole, and Circle of Friends.
His many other theater credits include a lengthy engagement as Ricky Roma in Glengarry Glen Ross in London's West End, American Buffalo at Gate Theatre in Dublin, Someone Who'll Watch Over Me also in West End, The Tempest, Platonov and Playboy of the Western World.. In 2000, Gillen was awarded the most promising newcomer award at the Edinburgh International Film Festival for his work in The Low Down. He also appeared in the six-part Canadian miniseries Dice.
