Aki Avni
Two-time winner of the Israeli Golden Screen award for Best Dramatic Actor for his role in the TV series Basic Training and winner of the Israeli Academy Award for Best Actor in Time of Favor, Aki Avni is one of Israel's most celebrated actors. His career includes several important roles in Israeli feature films and theatre productions such as The Investigation Must Go On, Auditions and Amazing Grace. Critics have called Avni the embodiment of the modern Israeli hero. Avni studied acting at the Yoram Levinstein Studio in Tel-Aviv where he currently teaches acting. In preparation for his role in Time of Favor, Avni researched his part at a yeshiva in the West Bank.
