Michael D'Ascenzo

Eleven-year-old Michael made his professional acting debut in Theatre Aquarius's The King And I, and in the dual leading roles of Brian and Bobby at the world premiere of Who Has Seen the Wind. Michael's television credits include his role as Scud, the school bully, on the Sullivan Entertainment/BBC mini-series Super Rupert. His role as Hocus, a street urchin, in the BBC production of Cinderella and Me soon followed. Michael has worked in animation for Hoobs as well as in radio drama for CBC. KHALED is Michael's first feature film. Currently he is involved in a workshop at the Tarragon Theatre. In between professional engagements, Michael attends school at the grade six level, and pursues his theatrical interests by participating in a performing arts programme.

In his spare time Michael enjoys swimming, cycling, soccer and martial arts. And, yes, he really has read all the Harry Potter books at least four times! Michael's philosophy on acting follows: "Each role I take on is like a puzzle piece of myself unique, definite in its size and shape and necessary to make the picture hole."
