Helmut Schleppi graduated from the Film Academy in Brussels, Belgium in 1989. After filming, directing and producing mainly documentaries in Europe for ten years, he relocated to Los Angeles where he met Geert Heetebrij. They collaborated on a number of television projects before producing A FOREIGN AFFAIR, their first feature film.
