Older men and younger women (Fri Aug 31, 2007 3:35pm ET)report post

Duvall certainly has good taste in women! Lovely woman, and a great photo of her in June 2006 issue of "Cowboys and Indians" magazine. Just goes to prove that fame and money - lots of it - are the world's greatest aphrodiasics!! I teach medical students and there is not a single one, half my age - who would even go out with me,,,let alone marry me. Course then...I'm not Robert Duvall! What prompts much younger women to date/sleep with/marry men 2x their age? Hah! The answer is all too obvious! Cheers to you Bobby!

Argentina and Buenos Aires in particular are among the very top of places I want to see before I leave this world. That and Robert Duval were what attracted me to watch this movie - little did I know I would be captivated by Luciana. I am in love. It is her voice, her mannerism, the personality and humor that shines through. Being beautiful and having such lovely legs doesn't hurt either. I would have really liked to be on the receiving end of her comment that "there is for you".
She has it all!

Just got through watching Assasination Tango and had to look up this Luciana Pedraza. Though I was born in the US, I have lived in Argentina through most of my adolescent years. The majority of my family is from Buenos Aires. I still visit every few years to keep in touch.

I find Luciana's performance perfect. Perfect in that she reflected exactly how most Argentine people act when trying to make Americans feel at home in their country. Her timing was great in that it was, off. As it would have been in real life. If the dialogue would have flowed smoothly, you would have lost the sense that these two people came from different worlds.

If it wasn't for the setting and almost documentary feel of the film, I probably would have said it wasn't worth the tape it was filmed on. But the actors did a great job with what was a poor written script.

Luciana is a very strong woman.
She performs just what she is, a very secure person with a funny and loud laugh.
Right?

Jodi was right.....Luciana can't act...there was no inflections in her voice, a proper pause in the tempo, and she didn't smile on cue....Thank you Lucina for not acting but being so natural, so beautiful, and so right for the part. Actors today could take lessons from you. When I saw you I was natural beauty, natural talent, and a spirit that I can't even describe. I belive you love Duvall as a man, a friend, and a peer...It came out in the film...go get em...roles should be yours for the taking....I want to make a movie just so you can star in it!!!

I was specially impressed with the long dialogue between John (Duvall) and Manuela (Luciana Pedraza) at the ''confiteria" in Buenos Aires. He acknowledges he is too old for her, yet she says "you still may have a chance...welcome to Argentina my friend". Was that dialogue part of the script? I still feel there was a lot of improvisation in that scene, a good one, which stemmed from what the actors wanted to tell us through acting. Can anyone answer that question for me? Thanks.
