Alicia Keys, (born January 25, 1981) is a singer-songwriter.She was born in Harlem, New York, New York
Keys is a talented multi-instrumentalist, classically trained as a pianist, and is noted as a singer-songwriter with a powerful voice.
Keys attended the Performance Arts School of Manhattan, and Columbia University (at the age of 16). Having signed a contract with Arista Records, she followed Arista president Clive Davis to J Records, where her multi-platinum album Songs in A Minor, was released. The single Fallin was a large hit, and she was nominated for several Grammy Awards.
