Yugo Saso was born in Shiga, Japan. Following High School, he traveled to Vancouver, Canada. For six years he studied acting at Gastown Actor's Studio. In addition to his studies, he was very active in local theatre productions.
He worked extensively with the UBC Film School as well. After returning to Japan in 1998, he continued to work on his acting craft.
A native Japanese speaker, he also speaks English fluently and converses easily in Chinese.
Yugo Saso continues to make use of his talents in both Japan and the United States.
