Rachael Maza

Rachael Maza was born in Melbourne and raised in Sydney. She trained at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts in Perth, from which she graduated in 1992. Film credits include roles in Fistful of Flies; Lillian's Story; Cosi (according to Maza the most rehearsed one-liner ever!) and Hypothermia".

Theatrical credits include the Belvoir St Theatre's production of RADIANCE, in the role of Mae. Her performance won her a Sydney Theatre Critics' 1994 NewComer Award Nomination. Other theatre credits include La Mama's production of Made in Spain; leading roles in The Aboriginal Protesters and the critically acclaimed Yerma; and Miranda in the Bell Company's production of The Tempest.

Maza presents SBS Television's Indigenous cultural affairs magazine ICAM. Other television credits include a leading role in Heartland; the role of Jessica in Jan Chapman's Naked; the ABC's Frontier and Law of the Land.

She also sings with her own increasingly popular rock/funk band.
