There seems an utter lack of emotional depth to Mr. Marsh's film-making. Indulging in macabre judgements of the human spirit- he seems to remain very separate from the motives and essences of his characters. I would venture to say Mr. Marsh is the type of filmmaker who is more concerned about being a filmmaker than being a communicator of human conditions.

It seems amusing that anyone would take the time and trouble to bother commenting on James Marsh or his lackluster body of work-- let alone reading or commenting on such. However, I cannot help agree with Professor Simon.
Marsh's point of view seems a pointless one at best. Having actually had the opportunity to meet Marsh, I can say that much about March is pointless. He appears to be very impressed with himself, which I suppose will have to suffice because there seems no reason for anyone else to be.

Dear Sir,

Can you tell me how I can find a copy of James Marsh's documentary "The Burger and The King"? I saw it on Cinemax years ago, have told people about it and have had much difficulty in obtaining it. Why has it disappeared?

Hi, Just wondered if anyone had posted a followup regarding this topic. I am also looking to purchase a copy of the 1996 BBC documentary "The Burger & the King" but I've had no luck.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
