| by amy Hi there I'm an A level Media student who's studying the module "Women in Film" and keira Knightley is my main piece. i noticed some strong views on this forum and thoght perhaps you could put them towards my grade :D I was wondering if any of you could help me out with my coursework by posting answers to a few questions on how women are affected by the portrayal of women in films and also how keira is represented in her films and what effect you think she has on others. Any reference to Keira in these questions in fine and even if you only want to pick out one or two questions from these to answer, even for that i would be very grateful. 1. Do you think women have been given more power in life in reflection to the way women are portrayed in films? 2. Do you think films have had an influence on gender stereotyping? 3. Do you think Keira being represented the way she is influences the way teenage girls see themselves and who/ how they aspire to be? 4. Do you think there is a generated perfect female stereotype (both in personality or physically) from films? 5. She appears very skinny because she is 5'7 tall but I have seen Keira in a couple of her films and am confident enough to say that she is in no way sickly looking and she does not have a skinny neck. As far as I am concerned I find Keira gorgeous in a dark eyed sexy looking way. She has a way about her that keeps you allured to the screen. She was awesome in Pirates of the Caribbean and it really did take lots of effort to get all those scenes right for the role. Think it just comes easy,people? | by Ryan First of all, I don't know why the hell people who despise Keira Knightley are putting awfully rude comments about her. Secondly, she is very talented even though some of her films are quite bad. That is why she had won 11 awards and has had been nominated 25 times for her skills, including the Oscars. Third, her looks is as I'm aware of is judged by opinions, but to say that she is ugly (which I disagree) is just horribly rude to announce. Maybe you're some ugly, terrible (which those who have submitted horrendous comments), and conceited people who is sitting around, posting atrocious insults to celebrities who became successful because their talents and looks have been noticed. Fourth, Keira Knightley is fine the way she is. Although some may think she's skinny, it's not like she'd eat a lot! Even though she did, she'd just be putting her health into risk in order to fulfill your opinions. And she wishes she can do something about it.
