Jim Stem

Jim Stem marks his feature film directorial debut with IT'S THE RAGE. Stem is best known for producing hit theatrical productions and the occasional independent feature film. He has produced The Sound of Music and The Diary of Anne Frank on Broadway, Alan Acykboume's Communicating Doors off-Broadway and the international hit Stomp offBroadway and throughout the Americas. He has also produced "Bunny Bunny Gilda Radner: a Sort of Romantic Comedy" starring Bruno Kirby and Paula Cale; Anna Deveare Smith's Twilight: Los Angeles, 1992; Wild Men! in Chicago and off-Broadway; and Lanford Wilson's Redwood Curtain on Broadway. Stern will next produce the highly anticipated Billy Joel Musical for Broadway in 1999.

For the screen, Stem co-executive produced The Devil Wore Black starring Mary Louise Parker and Jacqueline Bissett; produced 5 Miles From Normal which debuted at the Sundance Film Festival; and was associate producer of Jeffrey. He is currently producing and directing an IMAX film about the Chicago Bulls and the legacy of Michael Jordan.
