| by Soo Zhi Yong I would say that Szpilman had the courage to live in warsaw although he was alone as his parents went to those prison camps. The courage to live like that is quite hard... ... He survived with little food and got beatened by cruel Waffens SS Officers. This is actually almost a living nightmare which i myself as a teen cannot accept. He also had the guts to help with the resistance and I'm thankful to them. I'm also thankful to Captain Wilm Hosenfeld who helped him when efforts were futile. I hope he will rest in peace and have another good life. This film and llife truely shown how a civilian survived in warsaw and please learn from what he has went through. | by montse marti Hola! me llamo montse y soy catalana, de catalonia "españa".Soy cantante y músico, ..debo dar las gracias a personas como wladek, que a pesar de la enorme tristeza y dolor de perder a toda su familia en los campos de la muerte, en una guerra absurda i horrores sin límites, nos haya dejado sus obras y sus sentimientos expresados en el piano.Sus manos, dejan sentir todo el infinito amor por la música, y a la vez la eterna pasión por ella.Su alma se entremezcla con sus recuerdos más tristes mientras las notas de su piano se hunden en nuestra alma.....Lloro muy a menudo cuando lo escucho... me hace sentir infinitamente feliz y a la vez muy triste, es como si oliera y sintiera su dolor y su amor....Debo felicitar a su hijo y quisiera enviarle todo mi cariño y mi agradecimiento por aceptar que se hiciera la pelicula "the pianist", ha sido para muchas personas una bandera alzada en el viento y en silencio, solo con música para explicar la historia de uno de muchos grandes artistas, sabios y maravillosas personas que siguen amando la paz y la tolerancia que nos conducen al amor mundial.Gracias wladek!!! te llevaré siempre conmigo. | by RH Like Mr. Szpilman I also play the piano and I must say that I myself have been inspired by the movie, The Pianist. I now feel inspired to play and I now love what I am doing. I wish there could be more information available about Mr. Szpilman's family. I would also like to know what death camps they were sent to. If I were in his position I do not know what I would do. I hope that I would think to myself, God spared me for a reason, now it is my task to make something positive of my life as Szpilman did. Comment on this... |

| by Marco Monge im out of words, there's not such felling to express my self and say. im Costarrican and our culture is kinda european in some sectors of the country most in the city. But Mr Szpilman is and idol for me i feel motivated to work and life day by day, i wake up in the morning and i said im bless for my good to have nothing but i have peace that i can take a train and go to work with out worry, im bless for many reason but im terrible bless to cause i know of some one like Mr Szpilman was real the movie is great. i see that movie 7 times already and im not tired evry time i get front of the tv i feel the man kind my respect for mr Szpilman is an idol for me and inspiration like i say before no words to express my self of this deep feelling he's is more than a reason to figth and be someone in this time of life God Blessyou MR Szpilman. and rest in peace for ever .
