Ruth Platt, an Oxford University graduate, trained at London's Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA).

Her telefilm credits include Ruth Rendell's Thornapple (directed by Mary McMurray), Murder Rooms (directed by Paul Seed), and the recent Hallmark production of The Prince and the Pauper (directed by Giles Foster). She has recently appeared in a recurring role on the popular series Holby City.

Platt is a trained singer and pianist.
