I watched Dylan Kidd's "Roger Dodger" tonight for the first time as a 21 year old bachelor. I related perfectly with Nick, and was caught up in his voyage through Manhattan. I looked dubiously up to Roger. I was seduced by the stunning filmwork on Elizabeth Berkely and Jennifer Beal. In the end, I anticipated Nick's final triumph and yelled in desperation at the final cutoff scene. I so badly wanted to see what happened next.
I bought the DVD immediately after I watched the movie and plan on showing it to my younger brother when the time is right. Then if DVD players still exist, to my son. If a real live "Nick" ever comes along, I'll pass along this movie, provided they return it of course.
