I have had the extraordinary pleasure of knowing this amazing, beautiful and talented lady from my school days. And I might add,has remained the gentle, kind, down to earth and wonderful soul with a lovely smile since.
Her stage and screen performances over her career (she never seems to age) are sublime. I am still at a loss for words as to why she did not win the Best Supporting Actress AFI award for her role as Paula in Ray Lawrence's Lantana. Maybe 2005 will see a nomination and win for Best Supporting Actress for her amazing performance as Julia in Sarah Watt's Look Both Ways.
I am looking forward to seeing more great work in the future from one our greats in the industry. In years to come, I believe she will be received with open arms in the US in the same vain as Cate Blanchett and Nicole Kidman.
