Like his television personality of the same name, Jim Gaffigan was born in Indiana and moved to New York in pursuit of an entertainment career. His motion picture credits include Three Kings, The Thomas Crown Affair, Personals and Entropy. On television he has made guest appearances in the series Law & Order, Lateline, Conrad Bloom and Third Watch and on the Late Show with David Letterman, The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn, Comedy Central's Dr. Katz and VH-1's Random Play.
Gaffigan has entertained at the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Colo., and is performing this summer at the Just for Laughs International Comedy Festival in Montreal. He has also appeared in numerous commercials, including campaigns for Blockbuster Video, Saturn, Rolling Rock and Energizer.
He was born and raised in Chesterton, Ind., and now lives in New York. His birth date is July 7.
