Ed Decter

Ed Decter, along with writing partner John J. Strauss, wrote the 20th Century Fox hit comedy There's Something About Mary, directed by Peter and Bobby Farrelly. The movie went on to gross $500 million worldwide.

Currently Decter and Strauss are re-writing The Santo Claus II starring Tim Allen for Disney, which commenced principal photography in February. Also for Disney, Decter and Strauss are re-writing and producing The ,Tune Plan, a romantic comedy that Decter is attached to direct.

At Revolution Studios, Decter and Strauss are currently writing Johnny Catamaran which Decter is also attached to direct. They are also writing two television pilots for Revolution, The Ump, a situation comedy with Tony Danza attached to star and Joe Roth directing, and Unsafe At Any Speed, an MTV comedy/reality hybrid which Decter is attached to direct. Decter and Strauss are also producing The Tony Hawk Project, starring Tony Hawk.

In addition to their projects at Revolution, the pair also executive produced and co-wrote the Universal comedy Head Over Heels, starring Freddie Prinze Jr. and Monica Potter.

For television, Decter & Strauss created and executive produced four primetime network series: The Closer, starring Tom Selleck, Odd Man Out, starring Markie Post, Chicago Sons, starring Jason Bateman, and the reality series The Adventures of Mark & Brian.

Their numerous writing credits also include Boy Meets World, Too Something; Me and the Boys and the feature film Options
