by G. Collver Soul Assassin earned an 8/10 on my scale, which is fairly high. The main reason why I enjoyed the movie is not that boring plot, the softchew bubblegum techno, or numerous epileptically arousing gunshot scenes (a.k.a. 'action'); rather the careful details of the Dutch culture, innovative use of flashbacks and repetition to emphasize and heighten awareness, as well as the ezcellent acting. I did not see anything special, other than a film that could potentially capture American audiences hungry for some foreign action. It will be interesting to see the new works as they are made available. Comment on this...

by Ben Mason Liked Soul Assassin. The comments from Mr. Sypien must mean he could not follow or get into the HiTech pacing, look and feel of the film. He must prefer films from 1935 instead of the Hip Hop of the 21st C. Too bad for him. Soul Assassin has a rhythm and beat to it that made it a fun "ride". I thought the different perspective was cool. Not the same old action movie explosions and overly stylized hand to hand combat. Comment on this...

by Don Sypien Mr. Malkin is the worst director whose work I have ever seen. Soul Assassin is incoherent and sloppy. A waste of good color film.... Comment on this...
